Kuala Terengganu
Our next stop is Kuala Terengganu, also on the east coast north of Malaysia. Our Hotel Duyong Marina & Resort is located on an island in the river by the port. From here we had a perfect homebase to explore the neighbourhood of Kuala Terengganu. The floating Mosque was our first to see. Our next stop was the fish market in Bandar Marang with another Mosque. The National Museum brought us some information about the history of Malaysia. Back in Kuala Terengganu, we have visit the little Tian Hou Temple and we ended up at night in downtown and had a great dinner at the local hawker center (food court).
Unser nächster Halt ist Kuala Terengganu, ebenfalls an der Ostküste von Malaysia gelegen. Das Hotel Duyong Marina & Resort, direkt beim Hafen am Fluss war unsere Wahl.
Von da aus hatten wir eine perfekte Lage, um die Nachbarschaft zu erkunden, speziell die schwimmende Moschee. Auch der Fischmarkt von Bandar Marang und das Nationalmuseuum sind lohnende Ziele. Das Nationalmuseum zeigt eindrücklich die interessante Geschichte von Malaysia.
Zurück in Kuala Terengganu haben wir den kleinen Tian Hou Tempel besucht und haben den Abend dann im lokalen "Hawker Center" bei einem vorzüglichen Essen beendet.
