Haifa
The occasion of a work assignment in the Kibbuz Ma'agan Micha'el brought us to Haifa.We stayed in the Colony Hotel in the historical part of the city called "German Colony".The wonderful city in the north of Israel is famous for Bahai Gardens.At the weekend we made an excursion to Akkon and let us go back in time to the age of the crusaders.After a visit to the Market we went to Rosch-HaNikra on the boarder of Libanon, to admire the worlds most steepest cable car and the caverns.At the end of our trip we had a marvelous lunch in a libanisian restaurant.We went to the cactus garden in the Kibbuz where we adored the outstanding flowering cacti.
Anlässlich eines Arbeitseinsatzes im Kibbuz Ma'agan Micha'el haben wir ein paar Tage in Haifa verbracht. Wir wohnten im Colony Hotel im historischen Stadtteil "deutsche Kolonie" von Haifa. Die wunderbare Stadt im Norden von Israel, ist bekannt durch den schönen Garden der Bahai.
Am Wochenende haben wir dann einen Ausflug nach Akkon unternommen und liessen uns ins Altertum zu den Kreuzrittern entführen. Nach dem Besuch des Marktes, ging es dann nach Rosch-haNikra an der Grenze zum Libanon, um die steilste Seilbahn der Welt und die Grotten zu bewundern.
Zum Abschluss unseres Ausflugs gabs dann in einem libanesischen Restaurant einen ausgezeichneten Lunch. Der wunderbare Kakteengarten ist übrigens im Kibbuz zu bewundern.
